1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and display name. When you use the service we collect the content you post (text, images, videos), interactions (likes, reposts, replies), and basic usage data.

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell your data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and improve the Informy service
To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset)
To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our rules
To show you content from people you follow

3. Media Storage

Images and videos you upload are stored on DigitalOcean Spaces (Singapore region) and served via CDN. Media attached to deleted posts is permanently removed from our storage.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law. We use the following sub-processors: DigitalOcean (hosting and storage), SendGrid (transactional email), Google (Sign-In via OAuth).

5. Your Rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion your posts, profile, and media are removed. You may request a copy of your data or permanent erasure by contacting us.

6. Cookies

We use a single HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Children and Minors

Informy is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately suspend the account and permanently delete their data.

If you believe a minor has created an account on Informy, please contact us at privacy@informy.social and we will act within 24 hours.

8. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Informy has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors. Such content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and permanent ban.

In compliance with applicable law, Informy will report any detected CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

To report CSAM or any content that sexualises minors, contact us immediately at safety@informy.social or use the Report button on any post.
